C&T Exam Procedures 2024
The Certification and Training Program (C&T) will continue to administer all exams (except 1D)
twice a year in each district area and two additional, central locations for a total of 12 exam
administration dates. The 2024 exam schedule is as follows:
January 5, 2024 - Fairmont District Office
February 2, 2024 - Ripley WV ETC
February 16, 2024 - Kearneysville District Office
March 1, 2024 - Fairmont District Office
April 5, 2024 - Parkersburg Utility Board
May 3, 2024 - Raleigh County Health Department
June 4, 2024 - Kearneysville District Office
July 12, 2024 - Ripley WV ETC
August 2, 2024 - Fairmont District Office
September 6, 2024 - Parkersburg Utility Board
October 4, 2024 - Raleigh County Health Department
November 5, 2024 - Kearneysville District Office

C&T must receive an exam application (Form EW-102) from each individual 30 days prior
but not later than 5 days prior to the exam date and location for registration. Upon receipt
of EW-102 C&T will provide a confirmation letter to each applicant. C&T staff will not bring
extra exams or accommodate any walk-ins.
Plan to arrive by 8:45am, as exam administration will begin promptly at 9:00am with a 4-hour
time limit, so please park accordingly. You must bring a photo ID (i.e. driver’s license) and
exam confirmation letter with you to the examination at the above location and on the
above date for identification purposes. Upon arrival you will be required to check in with the
exam administrator, sign and date the sign-in sheet. Individuals without proper identification
will not be admitted into the examination. No recording devices, cell phones, watches,
cameras, laptops, PDAs, backpacks, purses or hats are permitted in the examination room
so, please leave them in your vehicle. Pencils and calculators will be provided.

NOTES:
Public water and wastewater system operator certification courses will continue to have the required exam portion administered through the training provider on the last day. Please register with training provider who will then provide C&T an EW-102 for each student in attendance on the 1st day of training course.
The 1D course and exams will continue to be handled through the district offices, please call them directly to request.
C&T expects individuals to plan accordingly to not only prepare for the exam, but to register properly. Please let C&T know if you have any questions or concerns on this process by calling (304) 356-4335.
Individuals must wait at least 60 days since last failed exam attempt before reapplying for exam administration.
An exam score of 70% or better is considered passing and fulfills one requirement to qualify for certification.
